            VPS vs Shared
Versa Servers specializes in highly reliable business web hosting. That's why you only see "VPS" and "dedicated" and no "shared" hosting plans. Common $5 to $15 per month shared accounts have numerous technical drawbacks that can dramatically affect the performance, security, and customizability of the account.

Here's why: shared web servers typically house hundreds of websites and thousands of email accounts on a single server! Each account shares the same server software and often the same IP address. If any one of the hundreds of accounts misbehaves or is attacked, most or all of the other accounts can be heavily affected until the problem is fixed. For example, if just one of the email accounts on a shared server sends spam and consequently gets listed on a spam list, then all email accounts on that server may become blocked by spam filters.
